Narrative
A unique profile of British pop superstar Robbie Williams. It took a year and a half to get permission to film the lavish series of dances on Regent Street in London over four nights, as it is actually owned by the British royal family. Two nights before the scheduled filming, after a full week of rehearsal in the studio where they were filming the street, Queen Elizabeth II died and the filming had to be postponed. Everyone had to pay anyway, including stores and crew, and production insurance did not cover losses due to the monarch’s death, so producers had to raise additional funds to shoot the episode, which was filmed five months later. The title character, Robbie Williams, is depicted as a chimpanzee. Robbie Williams is not actually a chimpanzee.
